The home of Lynnholtz Shepherds, Lynnwood Kennels, is proud to offer quality German Shepherds of German ancestry to qualified owners. We breed only East and West German working lines with excellent temperament, health, and conformation. All adult dogs, as well as their ancestors, are certified by the Orthopedic Foundation of America (OFA). The colors that are produced are primarily dark sable and black, with an occasional black and tan. Pedigrees include titles such as police dog, Schutzhund, BundesSieger, and Czech-equivalent titles. Puppies have been placed in search and rescue homes, as well as competitive obedience, therapy, and pet homes. We generally have 2 litters a year and typically have a waiting list for puppies. | "A Country Bed and Breakfast for Your Pet," Lynnwood Kennels is situated on 5 peaceful acres in Northern Illinois, about 1.5 hours northwest of Chicago. We are conveniently located on State Route 72 in Davis Junction , Illinois, only about 10 miles south of Rockford. It is a state-of-the-art facility with a caring, competent staff to insure a pleasant, comfortable boarding or grooming experience for your pet(s). We have been a member of the American Boarding Kennel Association (ABKA) since 1993. |
| While here, dogs stay in one of our 40 spacious runs, either indoor/outdoor or indoor only. The runs feature the latest technology in heated kennel floors and the "T-Kennel Sanitation System," which prevents cross-contamination. There are fresh-air exercise areas adjacent to all the outdoor runs for those owners requesting extra playtime while their pets are here. There are also areas for feline and exotic boarding, which are separate and away from the dog kennel runs. Come see our indoor/outdoor runs or visit our residents in the indoor facilities. |
| Our all-breed grooming is available to all clients by appointment or while your pet is vacationing with us. Whether your pet needs just a bath and nail trim or a full clip, all of our services are performed by our experienced and talented grooming staff. With our low stress and tranquilizer-free environment, we can accommodate most any grooming request so that both you and your pet look forward to seeing us again. We know he or she will want to return for another invigorating, all-over body massage during the shampoo and the relaxing conditioner afterwards. | Lynnwood Kennels is now pleased to offer Wellness and Vaccine Clinics in conjunction with the Sauk Valley Animal Hospital. Wellness examinations, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchip administration will be available to all participants.
